Introduction to Waterguard+
Waterguard+ is an advanced leakage protection system that protects buildings against water damage. The system includes features such as remote control, moisture and temperature monitoring and integration with SD systems. This protocol provides a detailed guide for professional customers throughout the process from design to handover and aftermarket.
Project planning
Customer support and sales support
Customer support assistance: Waterguard customer support is available to assist with solution selection and pricing during the design phase. We help to identify the most cost-effective and appropriate solution for your project needs.
Contact customer support: For guidance and advice, please contact Waterguard customer service via the Waterguard Support - Contact form, or your customer contact. We are available to answer questions and provide the necessary support.
Solution selection
Choosing the right solution: Waterguard can provide solutions for all leak and water protection needs including installation in kitchens, distribution cabinets, wireless detection in shafts, humidity and temperature measurement, frost protection, home/off switch, various sensor solutions to avoid false alarms and trays to put under dishwashers etc. in kitchens.
Guidance: For detailed solution descriptions, see the Installation solutions guides. Get in touch with customer support or your contact person for help in choosing a solution for your project.
Integration with SD systems
Planning of integration: It is important to plan the integration with the building's SD system early in the process. This ensures a seamless integration and optimal functionality. Waterguard supports integration with SD systems directly in the device via BACnet IP and IO module.
Assistance: We assist the project with connection to SD systems, both physically on site and via remote assistance as needed. We encourage our technical customer support to assist with quality assurance of connection to the SD system to ensure good handover and commissioning of the system for the operator/builder.
Technical documentation: For details on how to integrate Waterguard+ with SD systems, see the guides Waterguard+ connected to SD systems via BACnet IP and Waterguard+ connected to SD systems via IO module. The articles provide technical information and provide information necessary for a successful integration.
Installation and delivery
Prefabrication and delivery
Contact customer support or your contact person to order partial deliveries and other customizations for your project.
Partial delivery: Waterguard can deliver equipment modularly to your project, for example delivering valves for installation in cabinets early in the project, and other equipment later as needed.
Prefabrication: Waterguard can deliver parts of equipment pre-assembled as a sensor plate in a sensor tray for easier installation in connection with kitchens.
Labeling: If there are requirements for special labeling on deliveries, this can be delivered adapted to projects where it has been planned with good time for delivery in the project.
Installation of equipment
Guidance: Follow the guidelines in the installation guide on Installation solutions, as well as specific manuals on Installation and user manual.
Shaft installation: See guidance for installation in shaft in Waterguard+ shaft solution (apartment buildings and larger buildings). All sensors can be paired manually or via app with installer flow, this will address the sensor location for later overview in the portal for operators/builder. We encourage our technical customer support to assist with quality assurance of the connection of all sensors in shafts to ensure good handover and commissioning of the facility for the operator/builder.
Activation of system for overview in portal: Get a 10-year warranty when activating systems. All systems can be activated via installer flow in the Abralife app. This ensures that all systems are directly visible, and sensors can be addressed with their location in the portal for operators/builders at handover. See the guide on Activating the system for detailed instructions. We encourage our technical customer support to assist with quality assurance activation of systems to ensure good handover and commissioning of the facility for the operator/builder.
Quality assurance
Testing of the system
Functional testing: Perform tests to verify that the system works as expected, see guide Functional testing. This includes testing of leakage sensors, valve function and communication with the portal if applicable, where Waterguard customer service assists if necessary.
Registration of sensors
Early quality assurance: It is recommended to perform the enrollment as early as possible after installation. This helps to identify and correct any errors before handover.
Assistance from customer support: Waterguard customer support can assist with enrollment and quality assurance of sensors. For larger projects, they can also provide physical personnel on site by appointment.
Handover and FDV
Handover to builder/manager
The role of customer support: At project handover, Waterguard Customer Support will ensure that all devices are correctly connected to the portal as requested by the project. We can take responsibility for transferring control and oversight of the system to the client, manager or board.
System overview: A detailed overview of the system's layout, including the location of sensors and valves, is handed over. This ensures that the client has full control of the system from day one.
O&M and Training
All relevantdocumentation, including user manuals and technical specifications, should be handed over to the client. This simplifies future operation and maintenance. O&M documentation can be found for the various solutions on O&M and product documentation.
User training: It is important that users are adequately trained in the use of the Waterguard+ system, please contact Waterguard customer support so that we can assist with the necessary training. This includes training on the use of the app, the portal and any integrations with SD systems.
Aftermarket and customer support
24/7 hotline: Waterguard customer support offers a 24/7 hotline for emergency assistance. This ensures a quick response to any incidents or questions.
Customer responsibility: After installation, Waterguard customer support takes over customer responsibility. We assist with technical support, maintenance and updates of the system.
Physical assistance: If needed, customer support can provide physical personnel for troubleshooting, upgrades or quality assurance. This is especially true for larger projects or complex installations.
Contact details
- Customer support: Contact us via the Waterguard Support - Contact form for help and guidance.
- Customer support: Call us on +47 23 11 56 60 for immediate assistance (on-call evening/night and weekends).
Important extra functions
Moisture and temperature measurement: The Waterguard+ sensors not only measure water leakage, but also humidity and temperature. This makes it possible to monitor humidity during and after the project period. The system displays data in the portal and app, and alerts users to abnormal levels.
Frost protection: The system can automatically shut off the water at low temperatures to prevent frost damage. This is especially useful in unheated rooms or in case of sudden temperature fluctuations.
Remote control: Waterguard+ can be controlled via SD system, portal, app or through customer service. This provides flexibility and control of the system wherever you are.
System override: In the event of false alarms or the need for manual control, the system can easily be overridden to allow water. This is done via the app, the portal or in collaboration with customer support.
