If your home is already equipped with an existing Waterguard system, you kan easily upgrade to a digital Waterguard+ system without any assistance from a plumber.
The Linkbox+Power Adapter 24V DC / 230V AC is used as an adapater, and enables the Linkbox+ and the Abralife app to control and communicate with up to 3 230V AC soleniod valves.
Solution description
You can upgrade regardless of the existing Waterguard-system you have and where the valves are mounted. The only requirement is that the existing valve(s) type is Danfoss 230V AC Solenoid valve. The valves can be serial connected and the Linkbox+ can control up to 3 solenoid valves (see last chapter).

Description
Watersensor+ |
The wireless sensor is paired with the Linkbox+ and placed in the kitchen (and/or other rooms that requires monitoring). The sensor measures temperature and humidity in addition to water detection. PS! If Linkbox+ and valve(s ) are mounted in the kitchen, you can use the sensor tape (connected to the Linkbox+) to monitor leakage. In this case the wireless sensor is optional. |
|
Linkbox+ (WiFi el. 4G) | The Linkbox+ is mounted to the wall nearby the valve using the included bracket.
Danfoss Magnetventil (1/2"-2") | Danfoss 230V AC magnetventil (Waterguard). (Existing valve cable and adapater is removed from the valve)
Linkbox+ Power Adapter 24VDC/230VAC | The Linkbox+ power adapter is connected to the Linkbox+ and the valve and then added to the power outlet
Sensor Tape | Self-adhesive sensor tape is connected to the Linkbox+ and sticked to the floor where you want to monitor any leakage. The surface must be clean for the tape to be properly fastened. |
Additional information
Follow these instructions when changing the power adapter:
- Remove the old adapter from the power outlet
- Remove the small screw that locks the valve cable to the blue coil house.
- Unplug the valve cable
- Plug the valve cable from the new adapter (NB! Ensure that the new adapter is NOT powered)
- Lock the cable with the small screw.
- Connect the power cable and the Cat.6-kabel from the adapter to the Linkbox+
- Connect the adapter to a power outlet
NB! Only 230V AC solenoid valves from Danfoss can be used with the adapter. The valves doesn't have to be delivered from Waterguard, but if delivered from a different provider, ensure that the valve is designed for 230V AC and not 24 V DC (check the white text on the blue coil house). Attempts to connect 24 V DC valves may cause explosions and fire!

Additional products and options
If your existing Waterguard system consists of more than one solenoid valve (e.g. on both hot and cold water), you can serial-connect the solenoid valves using an Extension cable for solenoid valves. The Linkbox+ will close all valves if a leakage is detected. You can extend maximum 3 valves.
