Key words: T Stat, temperature, temperature sensor
An error in the display, T Stat flashes in the display together with a beeping sound. This is either because the temperature sensor is not connected, or connected properly between the central unit and the water boiler. In some cases the the problem is that the water heater has heated the water to 85 degrees Celsius and then switched off.
Troubleshooting
- Press PROG, then check the temperature of P5 and P6.
- If one, or both of them shows 85 degrees Celsius, hot water must be drawn from the boiler to remedy the error.
- If one of, or both P5 and P6 show 0 degrees Celsius, there is an error with the temperature sensor cable. It can either be due to the temperature sensor cable (black cable) not being connected, or it could be a case of poor contact (Note. There is two contact point. One on the underside of the central unit, and one inside the boiler. Both contact points must be investigated).
To check whether there is a bad connection, or if the sensor cable is notinserted correctly, it is not enough just to look. The contact must be taken out of the contact point, and then inserted again. Make sure it is inserted properly. First, to this at the contact point on the central unit. If this does not remedy the error, do same at the contact point on the boiler.
If this doesn't correct the error, there may be a fault with central unit itself. But keep in mind, most T Stat errors is because of the temperature sensor cable.
