Waterguard alarms me from time to time even though I cannot see any leakages. Why is this happening?

Most likely, the sensor is detecting moisture and the system is working as designed. But it could also be caused by dirt or grime that short circuits the sensors. Sometimes the sensor points may short circuit eachother (if the wire/tape is curled up or folded.
