First and foremost, find out what kind of Waterguard system you have:
Adapter 1 / Adapter 2 (Wired)
These models are typically installed in kitchens and consist of:
1. Valve control (power adapter with Waterguard logo on it, and with cable for 1 or 2 valves)
The picture above shows 2 different valve control models for Adapter 1/2
2. One or two Danfoss valves connected to the water pipe (these are characterized by a blue coil with Danfoss written on it)
3. Sensor tape or sensor cable connected to valve control and pulled down under worktops, dishwasher etc
If you have such a system, see this article for help troubleshooting Adapter 1 /Adapter 2.
Smart Stop (wireless)
Smart Stop is a wireless system that consists of the following components:
1. Valve control (power adapter with Waterguard logo on it, and with cable for 1 or 2 valves). In a detached house, terraced house or larger apartment, this can be found near the main stopcock, in a distribution cabinet or possibly under the kitchen.
The picture above shows 2 different valve control models for the Smart Stop system
2. One or two Danfoss valves connected to the water pipe (these are characterized by a blue coil with Danfoss written on it). In a detached house, terraced house or larger apartment, this can be found near the main stopcock, in a distribution cabinet or possibly under the kitchen.
3. Control panel/door switch. This panel communicates wirelessly with the valve control and is typically attached to the wall somewhere in the house:
The image above shows 2 types of control panels (old and new) that are supplied with the Smart Stop system
4. One or more wireless sensors. These are typically placed in kitchen cupboards, in distribution cupboards, next to the water heater, in the inspection hatch for the outdoor tap, or in other rooms with a water installation without a drain (guest toilet, laundry room, etc.)
5. Alternatively - sensor tape/wire connected to the valve control
If you have such a system, see this article for troubleshooting help.
