The system must be activated after installation. Activation involves establishing a network connection and ensuring that Linkbox+ is registered in Abra cloud connection.
Why does the system need to be activated?
- Activation ensures that Linkbox+ is connected to Abra Cloud Connection
- Abra Cloud Connection ensures that the system is automatically updated with the latest software (OTA)
- Abra Cloud Connection monitors activated devices and collects data for diagnostics that make it easier to deliver good support services to the homeowner.
- An activated system connected to an Abra home provides extended product warranty (Product warranty is increased from 5 to 10 years)
- An activated system ensures better and faster customer support for the end customer and fewer support inquiries from the end customer to the plumber after installation.
The system can be activated by the installer or by the homeowner. We recommend that activation is done by the installer to ensure functionality as mentioned above and to give the homeowner good service and a good experience with the product. Once the installer has activated the system, it will be faster and easier for the homeowner to use and configure the home in the Abralife app and he/she will get better and faster customer support if they need it.
Activation for private users
Scan the QR code on the front of Linkbox+ or on the back of your AbraID to get started. If you don't have the Abralife app installed, the link will take you to the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android) to download the app.
Then follow the instructions in the app to get started with your new Waterguard+ system.
If the installer has already activated the system, the homeowner will find that Waterguard+ and your Abra home are already configured when linked to the Linkbox+ installed in your home.

Finally, Linkbox+ connects to the internet in one of the following ways:
4G

Ethernet.
A Cat. cable with an RJ45 connector is connected from a free LAN port on the home router to the Ethernet connector in the Linkbox+. As long as the home router is configured with automatic assignment of IP addresses (DHCP), the Linkbox+ will automatically connect to the internet and cloud services.
Wi-Fi.

Keep track of ongoing and completed installations
Installers can use the app both to manage their own Abra home and to keep an overview and control of ongoing and completed installations. In the app, a created project will have a status of either "ongoing" or "transferred". An ongoing project represents a system that is activated but is not associated with an Abra home (homeowner's account). A transferred project means that the system is linked to the homeowner's account and transferred to their Abra home.
