Product information
WaterSensor+ is a wireless sensor that detects the presence of water. The sensor also measures temperature and humidity and can warn if there is a risk of frost. WaterSensor+ is part of the Waterguard+ system, and must be connected to either the central unit Linkbox+ 4G or Linkbox+ WiFi.
If water is detected, the sensor sends signals to the Linkbox+, which automatically shuts off the water supply. A light and sound alarm is triggered both on the sensor and on the Linkbox+.
Waterguard+ is an advanced leak protection system designed to monitor and automatically shut off the water supply in homes, holiday homes, apartment and commercial buildings in the event of water leaks, low temperatures that can lead to ice formation and pipe bursts, as well as high humidity levels. The system is approved by Sintef under approval number TG20834 and meets Norwegian building regulations including TEK10 and TEK17. All electrical components in the system are tested and certified according to CE requirements, as well as meeting REACH and RoHS regulations.

Installation instructions
Detailed instructions on how to install WaterSensor+ correctly and safely are available in the WaterSensor+ User Manual and in Waterguard+ in the article Installing and deploying sensors.
General guidelines follow below:
WaterSensor+ should be installed in locations where there is a high risk of leakage or collection of water from leakage. This is typically behind the washing machine, in the kitchen cupboard or behind the dishwasher.
The WaterSensor+ can be placed flat on a suitable surface without the use of mounting brackets. Alternatively, the product can be wall-mounted using brackets that can be purchased as accessories, see instructions below.
Install WaterSensor+ well away from electronic devices that may interfere with the signals, such as microwave ovens or cordless phones. We recommend > 1 m distance to mentioned or similar equipment that transmits or receives high-frequency radio signals.

Maintenance Procedures
The battery of the WaterSensor+ has an expected lifespan of 5 years. However, the device will warn with an audible signal if the battery is soon empty and needs to be replaced.
WaterSensor+ does not require any maintenance other than keeping the sensor clean (free of dust and dirt).
However, it is important that the system is function-tested at least 2 times per year to be sure that the system works as intended. Follow the instructions in the Functional Test article.
Safety Instructions
WaterSensor+ is designed with safety in mind and uses a 5V DC power supply. Despite the low voltage, we ask that you be aware of the hazards of electrical products and adhere to the instructions below.

- WaterSensor+ must only be used in good condition and in accordance with the requirements of the Water Sensor. current installation and operating instructions.
- Waterguard accepts no liability for damage caused by failure to follow the instructions.
- Original components, accessories and spare parts must be used for the correct and safe use of the WaterSensor+. Improper use or non-genuine components may result in the reduction or termination of the product's warranty provisions.
- WaterSensor+ must only be installed in a frost-free environment.
Troubleshooting Guide
If the sensor does not detect water and gives a local alarm (red flashing and sound/light)
- Make sure that your device has sufficient battery capacity. The device will warn with an audible signal when the battery is low, or the battery level can be checked in the Abralife app.
- Make sure there is no dust or dirt under the device covering sensor probes and preventing water from coming into contact with the metal probes.
If the water sensor indicates a water alarm, but the alarm is not activated on the Linkbox+
- Make sure your WaterSensor+ is flashing green at regular intervals. If the device flashes yellow, this indicates that the device is not connected to the Linkbox+. Reduce the distance between devices, alternatively remove obstacles that may reduce signal quality.
- Alternatively, follow the instructions to remove the WaterSensor+ from the Linkbox+ and reconnect.
Spare parts and accessories
Spare parts
WaterSensor+ is sold individually and it is not possible to buy spare parts in the form of components.
If the device is damaged or needs to be replaced, it is recommended to change to a new device.
Standard CR2477 batteries can be used if the battery is empty.

The purpose of the system is to detect water leaks and limit the extent of damage. There will always be some water spillage before the sensors react and the water supply is turned off.

Type approval
Waterguard+ is type approved by Sintef and registered under TG 20834 Waterguard+ leak stopper. WaterSensor+ has been tested as part of the Waterguard+ system and found to comply with the current requirements for function and service life.

The Waterguard+ and its accessories are free from material defects and are designed in accordance with the consumer protection laws and regulations of the country in which the product is purchased. All correctly installed Waterguard+ systems are covered by our 5-year limited warranty.
Waterguard is not responsible for defects that do not affect the essential function of the product, or that are due to user error, accidents/accidents, overvoltage, use contrary to the supplier's or our instructions/product sheets or lack of maintenance. The buyer's right to invoke defects also lapses if the product is changed or repaired by someone other than the supplier without the supplier's prior written consent. Waterguard is only liable under the warranty if the Buyer complains within the warranty period and within the warranty period.

Extended warranty when registering Linkbox+ with Abra
By registering your Linkbox+ that is connected to WaterSensor+ in the Abralife app, you as a customer get a 10-year extended warranty on the product. The warranty starts from the time of purchase or the time of takeover of the system if delivered in new builds.
To register Linkbox+; scan the QR code on the front of the Linkbox+ and follow the link. This will take you directly to the download and installation of the Abralife app, as well as the setup, registration and configuration of the Linkbox+ in your Abra smart home.
