Waterguard+ in building shaft (multi-dwelling units) – Waterguard Customer Support

Introduction

Waterguard+ is well suited for the detection of water leaks in shafts and similar installations with a sensor on each floor and shutting off water from a central point where the Linkbox+ (Gateway) is also installed.

For pipe dimensions from 1" to 2", Danfoss Solenoid valves and Waterguard+ Power Adapter for Solenoid Valves are used.

Solution description

Linkbox+ (B) is mounted at the bottom of the shaft where the water is to be shut off in the event of a leak. Sensor tape is connected directly in Linkbox+ if you want leak detection at the bottom of the shaft.

Solenoid valves in the desired dimension (C) are mounted on water pipes and connected to the Linkbox+ via the Waterguard+ Power Adapter for Solenoid Valves. If more valves are needed, use a split cable for valves (5648199). PS! We recommend that the valve be installed on KV and VV. For circulating water, only a non-return valve is recommended.

Sensor brackets are mounted in shaft per story. To ensure a good range (Meshing), the brackets must be connected to direct current using the power adapter for the sensor bracket. Sensor tape is connected to the sensor bracket as required and fixed in the shaft in a suitable way. Finally, the wireless sensors (A) are paired against the Linkbox+ and deployed in the sensor brackets.

	Waterguard+ Sensor (mounted in brackett)	A Waterguard+ Sensor (mounted in bracket connected to power and Sensor Tape) is installed in every floor in a shaft. Wireless connection (WiMEA protocol) to Linkbox+ and sensors. The sensor bracket is mounted to the wall or to the floor.
	Linkbox+ (central unit)	Linkbox+ is mounted in a bracket on the wall, connected to external power supply, sensor tape and valve actuator. Linkbox+ is connected to the internet via local WiFi, network cable and/or LTE (4G). When connecting to Abra borettslag portal with an activated subscription, all central units (Linkbox+) will interact on a wireless mesh network so that water alarms is sent to surrounding residents around the unit with the water leakage, and to the board/caretaker as well, via portal, SMS and app.
	Waterguard+ Valve (motorized Valve)	Up to three (3) valves (1"DN25 to 2"DN50) is mounted on cold/hot/circulation water intake after the main stopcock. Valves is connected the power supply for valves from Linkbox+ with CAT6 network cable and power cable.
